Why East Mill Creek vs East Millcreek
At one time the East Mill Creek Ward included all of the Canyon Rim, Mt. Olympus and East Mill Creek Community Council areas - plus some of Holladay City.
--The East Mill Creek Betterment League was organized in 1935.
--The East Mill Creek Lions Club was organized in 1944.
--The East Mill Creek Community Council was organized on December 5, 1990.

There have been a number of residents ask if this designation will prohibit them from subdividing their property, remodeling their home or replacing it. The answer is no. The historic designation offers financial incentives to encourage homeowners to keep their homes as original as practically possible. For more information see the following links:
